Shoot ‘em up space game

Vikavoltius is a shoot 'em up game created by indie developer HeatPhoenix. Based on the Pokemon universe, the game blasts you into space to defeat the evil Magnezone. But to do so, you need to fight and beat various enemy pokemon. You can play the game solo or with a friend using the local co-op mode. If you love playing classic space shooters, this game is right up your alley.

Save the space from evil Pokemon

Vikavoltius is very much like those space shooters that kids in the 90s love to play. You are given control of a small space pokemon named Vikavolt, who has a mission to defeat the evil Pokemon named Magnezone. Vikavolt can shoot enemies, and this ability can be augmented by using the powerup that you collect throughout the game. As mentioned, the game is playable solo, but it also supports two players.

To play the game, you can use your keyboard or game controller. To start, simply press the Enter key or Z. Pressing the Z key also allows you to shoot the enemy. To use your power-up, you need to press the X key. The bottom bar in the game window shows you what power you can activate at every level. The more powerup you collect, the selection will move further to the right to allow you to activate more powerful abilities. At the start of the game, players will have three lives. You need to be careful as you face your opponent as getting hit will lose you a life. Losing all three of them will end your game. With every hit to the enemy, however, you will be rewarded with points

Vikavoltius is a solid strategy game. However, it could use a few tiny improvements to make the gaming experience better. For one, it needs more resolution options for ultra low-end devices. The 2P input should also be used in a single player. More, it needs optimization to cater to older computers as it is hard to win using low-end devices.

Oddly addicting game

Unlike space shooter games of today, Vikavoltius lacks action-packed battles. However, it offers solid gameplay that casual players will love to try. It also comes with nice art and music that adds to your experience. It could use some enhancements, but overall, it is an addicting game.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
